Description
A light and authentic variety of the famous oolong is Shuxian (水仙).
Light Shuxian is an unfamiliar flavor of the famous tea!
This rare oolong grows in the vicinity of Zhangping and is produced using a unique technology with 7 grams packed in special briquettes to preserve the integrity of the leaf.
It is in Zangping that the climatic conditions for Shuxian tea cultivation are optimal.
It was in Zangping – Shuxian was first cultivated many centuries ago.
It is in Zhangping – keeping the original tradition of picking, processing and producing this tea.
Light Shuxian can only be in briquettes!
Unlike many oolongs, during the production process of Light Shuxian, it is not twisted longitudinally as in Wuishan, nor is it made famous ball rolling as in Taiwan. Instead, it is crumpled on a special machine, wrinkling the leaf several times lengthwise and crosswise, and then sent to the kiln to dry.
In the final process, the tea is briquetted so that the tea leaf is not broken during transportation and storage. The integrity of the leaf is of the utmost importance, as it affects the flavor of the tea. In small, sturdy briquettes it is almost impossible to damage the tea. When brewing it is necessary to take this fact into account – try not to break the leaf and brew a whole briquette at once, especially its weight – 7 grams is ideal for tea drinking from 1 to 3 people!
