The history of the Chinese celadon Qing Ci (Chinese: \u9752\u74f7, pinyin q\u012bngc\u00ed) dates back to the era of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. Literally translated, \u9752\u74f7 means \u201cgreenish porcelain.\u201d The jade glaze made it one of the most recognizable and, as the ancient Chinese said, \u201cthe best under heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chinese glazed porcelain molding dough is made from white clay (kaolin) with the addition of fine mineral powder. Celadon glaze contains iron oxide as a coloring component.
