To properly bring out the flavor, aroma and health benefits of tea you must follow brewing guidelines.

Here are the basic guidelines for brewing red (black) tea:

  • 1) use good water;
  • 2) Determine the amount of tea according to the volume of the crockery;
  • 3) warm the dish with hot water;
  • 4) consider the temperature of the brewing water depending on the type of tea;
  • 5) Make tea and drink it with gusto.

Chinese method – multiple brewing by pour-over method, short infusion – 3-4 s. In these instructions the amount of tea is calculated for a volume of 140 ml.

  • The amount of tea is 5-6 g
  • Water temperature – 90-95°C
  • Number of brews – 10-15

European method – single brewing with 3-5 min. infusion. In these instructions the amount of tea is calculated for a volume of 500 ml.

  • The amount of tea is 8-9 g
  • Water temperature – 90-95°C
  • Number of brews – 1

The most suitable brewing utensils are: glass, earthenware or porcelain teapot.
