Features of Yixing teapots

The composition of raw materials contains a large proportion of kaolin. This substance allows you to burn products under the influence of high temperatures. Also in the composition there are other elements (iron, small silicate particles, silicon), which give finished products a glossy sheen, make their structure porous. The porosity ensures the penetration of oxygen into the teapot, so the tea “breathes”, the taste acquires saturation. Clay is able to absorb odors, essential oils, so with each subsequent brewing, the tea will only be tastier and more aromatic.

Due to the porous structure, the kettle heats up quickly and retains heat for a long period of time (it is worth noting that the handle always remains cold). This prevents the occurrence of temperature changes during tea drinking, which negatively affect the taste characteristics of the drink.
