Now you can buy pu-erh in any corner of the world, because it is one of the most popular and exquisite varieties of Chinese tea. It is this tea that has become popular among lovers, and for those who have not had time to try it, it is intriguing.
Pu-erh tea is produced using special technologies, because the variety is divided into several categories:
These varieties differ from each other. And the difference is given to them by various stages of processing. Pu-erh can be leafy, made from large fleshy leaves, or bud. For its production, tender fleecy buds and the first young leaves are used. White pu-erh (Bai Hao Pu-erh) is the technical name for pressed buds that are harvested in Yunnan from old pu-erh trees (tea leaves of the trees are used as a raw material in the production of classic shu and sheng).
You can buy Pu-erh tea at a bargain price at Cha. Our online store is one of the few, whose specialization is the sale of original and high-quality Chinese tea in Ukraine. Shu pu-erh, its features
“Shu” in translation means “ready”. It differs from sheng pu-erh in a softer, velvety and deep taste, effect. The bouquet of shu pu-erhs always contains pleasant chocolate, nutty notes with a pleasant earthiness. Weakly concentrated shu pu-erh can be drunk before going to bed, as well as on an empty stomach (sheng pu-erh is not consumed on an empty stomach). Features of shu pu-erh are:
- The use of tea in Chinese traditional medicine for the treatment of stomach diseases (gastritis, ulcers);
- Shu Pu-erh dulls the feeling of hunger when consumed;
- Shu pu-erh is easy to brew, and when brewing Shen, a special brewing technique should be followed.
The finished drink is dark, red-brown. Black shu pu-erh has a chocolate, nutty flavor, there are woody notes in the aroma, the taste is softer than that of sheng. Buy Chinese Pu-erh tea Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, now it’s easier than ever, we deliver tea throughout Ukraine.
Shen pu-erh, its characteristics
It translates as “raw”. Acts as a powerful natural energy. Shengs have a juicy, bright taste, have a tonic effect. The bouquet differs based on the quality of raw materials, the period of its exposure, the region of growth. Good shengs are characterized by notes of dried fruits with sourness and a sweetish aftertaste. Older teas are milder, but they should not be drunk before bed. Shen pu-erh features include:
- aged less than three years, sheng gives the drink a golden-yellow hue, with a herbaceous-floral hint of aroma;
- tea aged five years gives the drink an orange-yellow hue, with fruity and honey notes;
- Drink made from tea with more than ten years of aging, takes on an amber color with hints of dried fruit.
Presented in our online store real sheng pu-erh is an expressive, refined drink that cannot be confused with any other.

- Production technology. Tea leaves Shen Puer and She Puer are harvested from the same bush, but the manufacturing technology is fundamentally different.information. Shen Puer leaves are dried, Shu Puerh leaves are dried, then the leaves are artificially aged.
- Color. Shu Puer has a dark color, if you look closely at the leaves in the “pancake”, they are dark, almost black. Shen Pu-erh – light, leaves are green or dark green, brown.
- Shen Puerh tea is a lightly fermented tea, Shu Puerh tea has a maximum degree of fermentation.
How to buy original pu-erh.
Pu-erh tea price depends on tea aging, for example, Pu-erh aged 20 years and above is a collection tea. Every year the cost of aged collection Pu-erh grows by 20-30%.
In addition to the production technology of Puerh, raw materials play an important role; here, tea experts like to draw an analogy with expensive wine. In the homeland of Puer, Yunnan, there are many tea plantations, some are located high in the mountains and the leaves are harvested by hand, other plantations are less well located and the leaves are harvested mechanically, all these factors directly affect the quality of tea.
