Flowering tea is made by experienced craftsmen by hand. In the production process, weakly fermented varieties of tea leaves are often used. They are not only the most useful, but also have the necessary elasticity, which allows them to be bent, giving the desired shape. The applied technology for the production of flowering (bound) tea depends on what kind of blossoming effect is needed. The compositions very often use not one flower, but several. The main steps in the production of tea are:

• eliminate greenery;
• twisting;
• drying.

The flower is one of the important elements of the bound tea. It is dehydrated by drying in the open air, or in chambers specially designed for this purpose.

After all the components are prepared, the manufacture of the bundle begins. A bunch of tea leaves is neatly tied at the bottom, a whole inflorescence is placed inside, all this is covered with tea leaves on top. The top is fastened with threads, and the bud with the bundle becomes complete. Often the weight of the resulting balls varies from 6 to 10 g. Also, the bundle can be in the form of an ellipse, or another shape (depending on the binding method, the number of buds inside the bundle).

Varieties of blooming tea

Chinese bound tea is represented by different types, which differ from each other by the inflorescence located inside, which directly affects the taste characteristics of tea, its aroma.

1. Imperial bouquet. After brewing green tea, a cascade of flowers appears from a small unsightly ball, consisting of calendula, amaranth. The taste of tea is very delicate, with hints of coconut milk.
2. Marigold is present in Buddha’s Basket, which looks like a flower basket.
3. The birth of a miracle (represented by several varieties).
4. Birth of Venus. When brewed, pink amaranth and yellow calendula open up, the drink smells fragrant with the aroma of jasmine.
5. Peach of immortality. When brewed, flowers of jasmine, yellow marigold, amaranth bloom, the drink exudes the aroma of peach.
6. Moon garden. During brewing, tiger lily flowers are intertwined with jasmine flowers, which give the drink a jasmine flavor.
7. Silver bar. It is also a jasmine tea that releases pink clover petals when brewed.
8. Sacred fruit. The bunch has an unusual shape in the form of a heart, it contains pink amaranth, lily, jasmine.
