Features and beneficial properties of Sheng Puer
On the palate, young Shen Pu’er may look harsh both in taste and in the spirit of the sun. The effect of such tea is similar to green tea and, as a rule, is very invigorating. Thanks to the “primordial energy of the wild mountains”, this tea gives a strong “tea state”: it fills the body with energy, clears the mind and lifts you above the bustle of everyday life.
Shen Pu’er, aged for 4-5 years, has a darker infusion and becomes more interesting; the taste and aroma of such tea has many shades. But Shen Puer becomes a real treasure after proper storage for 10 years or more. Then the prefix Lao is added to the name of the tea, which means old. Real Lao Sheng is highly prized and is often very difficult to find among the many fakes. Most Lao Shens are now kept in the tea collections of Puer connoisseurs.
Here are the main useful properties: thanks to the raw materials from old tea trees with a powerful and deep root system, many useful unique substances accumulate in the leaves; leaves from the Yunna tea tree are larger and have more powerful antimicrobial activity; the quality of raw materials for Sheng Pu’er is of decisive importance, therefore they take this very seriously and carefully;
