This renowned variety originates from China’s most famous tea mountain. According to legend, it was on this mountain that the first tea garden was planted, thus introducing tea into the list of cultivated plants by humanity. Meng Ding Huang Ya, translated from Chinese as “Yellow Buds from Meng Ding Mountain,” is cultivated in the Sichuan province.

Meng Ding Huang Ya has been an exquisite beverage for emperors and nobility for centuries. It is a unique type of tea, requiring over forty thousand buds to be hand-picked to produce one kilogram.

Preparation method for yellow tea in a cup with a lid:

  1. Rinse the cup with boiling water.
  2. Add 3 grams of tea per 250 ml.
  3. Rinse the tea: pour in 1/4 cup of water and immediately pour it out, holding the lid to retain the infusion.
  4. Pour in boiling water at 80-85°C and steep for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Enjoy your tea. Have a pleasant tea time!

    Я вообще желтые чаи очень люблю. Но Мэн Дин для меня очень особенный. Выбираю его, когда хочу провести тихий вдумчивый вечер. Он настраивает меня на медитативное состояние. И дает почувствовать себя аристократкой. 🙂
