Description

This particular type of tea is a classic example of aristocratic restraint, solidity, purity, uniqueness, elusive beauty, and the freshness so often extolled by poets. Its careful brewing demands adherence to canons and gently leads one into contemplation of eternal matters.

This renowned variety originates from China’s most famous tea mountain. According to legend, it was on this mountain that the first tea garden was planted, thus introducing tea into the list of cultivated plants by humanity. Meng Ding Huang Ya, translated from Chinese as “Yellow Buds from Meng Ding Mountain,” is cultivated in the Sichuan province.

Meng Ding Huang Ya has been an exquisite beverage for emperors and nobility for centuries. It is a unique type of tea, requiring over forty thousand buds to be hand-picked to produce one kilogram.
