Description

This is an exquisite tea. Restrained yet simultaneously pronounced, delicate yet rich. It’s the kind of tea you want to drink again and again. It immerses you in a deep state of contemplation. The sounds of music become louder and more expressive.

Method of brewing Sheng Puer:

Take a cup and rinse it with boiling water. Add tea leaves, about 2 grams per 250 ml. Rinse the tea: pour in 1/4 cup and immediately pour it out, holding the infusion with the lid. Pour in boiling water at 85-95 degrees Celsius and steep for 2-3 minutes. Enjoy. Happy tea drinking!

Characteristics and beneficial properties of Sheng Puer:

On taste, young Sheng Puer may seem sharp both in taste and impact. The effect of such tea is similar to green tea and generally invigorating. Thanks to the “primal energy of wild mountains,” this tea provides a strong “tea state”: it energizes the body, clears the mind, and lifts above everyday hustle and bustle. Aged Sheng Puer, aged 4-5 years, has a darker brew and becomes more interesting. The taste and aroma of such tea have many nuances. But true treasure of Sheng Puer comes after proper storage for 10 years or more. Then the tea is prefixed with “Lao,” which means “old.” Authentic Lao Sheng is highly valued, and it’s often very difficult to find among numerous counterfeits. Most Lao Shengs are now stored in tea collections of Puer connoisseurs. Here are the main beneficial properties: Thanks to the raw material from old tea trees with powerful and deep root systems, the leaves accumulate many unique beneficial substances. The leaves from Yunnan tea trees are larger and have more powerful antimicrobial activity. The quality of the raw material for Sheng Puer is crucial, so it’s taken very seriously and attentively. Sheng Puer can improve in taste and beneficial effects on the body over time with proper storage. Young Sheng Puer in terms of catechin content is not inferior to green tea varieties, and catechins have powerful antioxidant, anticancer, detoxifying, and anti-radiation properties. A special combination of polyphenols contributes to improving digestion and the endocrine system. It’s considered a strong energizer: a rich composition of vitamins: C, PP, and B group; as well as minerals: calcium, manganese, zinc, copper, iron, sulfur, fluoride, and phosphorus; a multitude of enzymes, tannins, resins, ethers, alkaloids, including theine (caffeine analogue) paired with amino acids – all this will give a charge of vivacity for the whole day! However, Sheng Puer should not be consumed on an empty stomach – this can lead to pain and discomfort, exacerbating gastritis.
